Native Plant Day

Join the NJSEA and the Bergen County Audubon Society for a day of engaging and educational native plant walks and talks. We will explain how everyone can make a difference in helping a number of species by putting native plants in your own backyard and community.

The Bergen County Audubon Society leads the way on this guided walk through one of the last low-lying forested areas in the Meadowlands. Trails may be muddy, boots are highly recommended. Keep your eyes peeled for songbirds, spring migrants, shorebirds and raptors.

Summer Solstice Walk

Celebrate the first day of summer and the longest day of the year with the Bergen County Audubon Society at a great place for birding. We will be on the lookout for shorebirds, raptors and much more.

Birding for Beginners

Need assistance in starting your birdwatching adventure? The Bergen County Audubon Society is holding a Birding for Beginners program at the Meadowlands Environment Center. It covers bird identification, optics and field guides. A walk will follow the class. Bring binoculars if you have them.
